We will create a water route that covers and links up the five points in the municipality where sites of interest can be found (canal irrigation systems, ditches, etc.). These are all connected to old cultivation and irrigation techniques that still exist in Altea although they have been practically abandoned or forgotten by most of its population. These sites will be conveniently illustrated with the appropriate explanations of their origin and the function they used to have. This knowledge will be disseminated through informative signboards that will be posted all along the routes as well as in the creation of a Water Archive.
